Heather Flower Spagyric Tincture
We originally bought heather flowers to make an ancient Pictish ale and decided to turn some into a spagyric tincture!
The ancient Pictish people of Scotland were renowned for their fierceness in battle and their heather ale. Legend states that the ale, made solely from heather tips or heather honey, was an intoxicating and formidable brew. On the Isle of Rum, archeologists have found traces of a fermented brew made of heather flowers on a Neolithic shard of pottery and from these traces have reconstructed a modern rendition of this brew. This is Phoenix's favorite ale to drink and brew!
Heather flowers, leaf, and plant top are all used to make medicine.
People have traditionally taken heather as a tea for kidney and lower urinary tract conditions, prostate enlargement, fluid retention, gout, arthritis, sleep disorders, breathing problems, cough, and colds. It also has been used for digestive disorders such as diarrhea, spasms, and stomach pain (colic), as well as for diseases of the liver and gallbladder. Heather is sometimes used to cause sweating.
In combination with other herbs, heather is used for treating diabetes, menstrual discomfort, menopause, and nervous exhaustion. Other uses include stimulation of digestion and regulation of the circulatory system.
Customers Can Choose Between 1mL and 4mL Bottles. The bottles are amber glass and have an orifice reducer in the bottle that creates a built-in dropper. The black cap screws on over the top of that, creating an air-tight seal.
To remove the product from the bottle, unscrew the black cap, turn the product upside down, and use a finger to tap the bottle once for each desired drop to be released. When the bottle is upside down, product will only be released if it is tapped. So the number of taps will equal the number of drops.
1mL Bottle contains roughly 20 drops.
4mL Bottle contains rougly 80-90 drops.
