This Velvet Bean Spagyric Tincture is made with the beans of the Mucuna pruriens plant. Mucuna pruriens is also known as cowhage, cowitch, Bengal bean, Lyon bean, buffalo bean, mucuna, and sea beans. Our Spagyric Tinctures are made with Organic, Ecodynamic, or Wildharvested Biomass and Tinctured with Organic Cane and/or Honey Spirits as our Veg Mercury. Once the tincture was made, we add Spagyric Salt of Salt of the Vegetable Kingdom and digest until reactions have stopped.
Historically, Velvet Bean has been used for Parkinson's Disease, male infertility and sexual function, as an aphrodisiac, adaptogen, natural anti-depressant, to reduce stress, and for snake venom poisoning. A standardized extract of Velvet Bean contains 15% L-Dopa, an important dopamine precursor. For this reason, Velvet Bean has historically been used for conditions pertaining to symptoms of poor dopamine production. In TCM it is known as Ci Mao Li Dou, and has historically been used as a jing enhancing herb, for parasites, to promote a positive mental state, male health and reproduction, to relieve stress, benefit the immune system and nervous system, as a powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory.
We make no claims as to the uses or efficacy of this product. There may be an enormous difference between what the herb has historically been used for and how any particular Spagyric Preparation of the herb can be used.
We aim to begin using IDF Analysis to provide IDF data of the detected phytochemicals and uses of each of our items of Spagyric Pharmacopoeia. Purchases of this product help to fund this enormous research project.
