This Moringa Spagyric Clyssus WITHOUT Glycosides is made from as many parts of the Moringa Tree as we were able to get our hands on: Seed, Root, Bark, Leaf, Flower, and Fruit [Seed Pod]. Moringa oleifera is also known as drumstick tree, ben oil tree or benzolive tree.
Historically, Moringa has been used for headaches, constipation, cardiovascular health, stimulate the immune system, inflammation, diabetes, high cholesterol, arthritis, asthma, high blood pressure, weight loss, and increase libido.
A Spagyric Clyssus is defined by Paracelsus as "the Power of a Plant which originally stems from one thing alone after the species has been separated into its different parts and finally recombined." It can be made using multiple parts or just one part of a plant throughout its lifecycle. Each Clyssus, depending on the part[s] of a plant used and what constituents are in the plant, requires a slightly unique process to create, so we always include a description of the process we used on the product page for each individual clyssus.
Johannes Baptista Porta put it very eloquently, “The Clyssus is the extraction of the subtlety of all parts of the plant, which flow together into a common being.” A Clyssus can appear as a powder, a liquid, an oil, or even a salt depending on the plant being worked on and the parts of that plant which are included. Making a Clyssus of Moringa oleifera proved to be particularly unique and rather difficult to obtain. This is because aside from the Seed when cold-pressed, there are very few oils in the Moringa Tree which can be extracted from the dried components. This required a lot of adaptation to make a Clyssus of this particular plant.
First, in order to obtain its Alchemical Sulfur, each individual part of the plant underwent two separate extractions - both an ethanol extraction AND a water soluble extraction. Unfortunately, the water soluble components yielded no Essential Oils, or Volatile Sulfur, meaning that we had both Ethanol and Water-Soluble Fixed Sulfurs to work with. Once a solution containing the fixed sulfur of each part in both its ethanolic and aqueous nature was obtained, the liquids were combined together and distilled to yield a pure fixed sulfur. This resulted in 6 unique grades of Fixed Sulfur that needed, at length, to be brought together sequentially, starting with the Seed, then the Root, then the Bark, then the Leaf, then the Flower, and Finally the Fruit [seed pod].
Because we were working with dried material, the plants themselves also contained absolutely no moisture, meaning that the juices that would normally be expressed and distilled from the plant were not able to be used. As a result, the Mercury of this Clyssus was forced to consist of the Liquid Portion of the tinctures that were distilled off of the Fixed Sulfur. At first, only the water soluble portion was used, but this left an enormous amount of Fixed Sulfur behind, and we wanted to capture the entire expression of the Fixed Sulfur in its final form. As a result, the Mercury is roughly 60% Ethanol and 40% water so the entire expression of the plant could be reconstituted at length.
All of the Extracted components of the plants were combined together, dried in a dehydrator to remove any left-over ethanol and water content from the extraction process, along with a bit of non-extracted biomass added for the Salt of Sulfur content, and the entirety of the Biomass was then calcined to an ash over hardwood coals at approximately 600-700*C. This ash was then bathed at 100*C in Distilled Water and purified, then Crystallized as per Spagyric Process mandates, to achieve a snowy-white powder which reads out as 99.99% Potassium Carbonate. This final Potassium Carbonate contains the Salt of Salt and Salt of Sulfur of the plant, creating the full Philosophic Salt to be used.
In order to volatilize the Salts, the water distilled from the Mercury was used to cohobate the salts for a prolonged period of time in a Pelican apparatus, since the product did not yield any essential oils. Once the salts began to volatilize, they were scraped and removed from the Pelican and put back into their own aqueous solution and placed in a flask. The combined Fixed Sulfur was placed in another flask, and lastly, the Aqueous Ethanol solution placed into yet a third flask. Each flask was then heated according to the temperature of its own volatilization and the substances of each flask distilled, each of which lead to a single 6 Liter Alembic Head, which captured the vapors and combined the distillates. Because of the volume, the Fixed sulfur finished distilling first and was turned off before the resins began to scorch. This allowed them to be ground into a fine powder and saved for the final processes. The salts finished next, which distilled over into the helm and crystallized in the helm with volatilized salts. And for a great while [roughly 12 hours], the Aqueous Ethanol Solution Distilled out. Ethanol always distills first in such a solution, whose vapors combined with the vapors of the distilling Fixed Sulfur and produced an acidic solution which was neutralized largely by the presence of the distilling volatilized salts. After the ethanol finished, the rest of the water finished distilling over the helm, washing the remainder of the Salts encrusting the helm into a single receiving flask.
Once the Triple-Distillate had entirely finished, the liquid was cloudy and translucent, but contained no color. It had a somewhat sharp, acrid taste. So, to “sweeten” the product and to ‘reconstruct’ the product, more biomass was tinctured in this fluid. And the dried, distilled Fixed Sulfur from the prior distillation was then ground finely, calcined, leached, and crystallized as per Spagyric Process. This purified Salt of Sulfur was once again added to the ‘Tinctured Clyssus’ and circulated for 9 months.
Afterwards, the product was filtered to 2 microns and its pH value was tested. It was roughly 8.3, so a small amount of Distilled Water was added to bring it down to 7.3, which is a balanced product. During this time, the product precipitated the glycosides. At this point, the Tinctured Clyssus was allowed to circulate for 3 days, then cooled, filtered at 2 microns and then bottled.
This Version of the Product DOES NOT contain the precipitated Glycosides.
We make no claims as to the uses or efficacy of this product. There may be an enormous difference between what the herb has historically been used for and how any particular Spagyric Preparation of the herb can be used.
We aim to begin using IDF Analysis to provide IDF data of the detected phytochemicals and uses of each of our items of Spagyric Pharmacopoeia. Purchases of this product help to fund this enormous research project.
