This Black Cohosh Root Spagyric Tincture is made with the roots of the Black Cohosh plant. Actaea racemosa is also known as snakeroot, black bugbane, rattleweed, macrotys, or rheumatism weed. Our Spagyric Tinctures are made with Organic, Ecodynamic, or Wildharvested Biomass and Tinctured with Organic Cane and/or Honey Spirits as our Veg Mercury. Once the tincture is made, we add Spagyric Salt of Salt of the Vegetable Kingdom and digest until reactions have stopped.
Historically Black Cohosh has been used for hot flashes, mood swings, night sweats, menstrual irregularities, restlessness, vaginal dryness, heart palpitations, sore throats, hemorrhoids, fever, and to lower cholesterol. In TCM it is known as Sheng Ma, and has historically been used to clear toxins in the upper part of the body (toothache, ulcerated lips or gums, canker sores), stimulate the uterus in the late stages of pregnancy, headaches, chills and fever, diarrhea due to Spleen Qi deficiency, fatigue, shortness of breath, prolapse, as an adrenal tonic, and asthma.
We make no claims as to the uses or efficacy of this product. There may be an enormous difference between what the herb has historically been used for and how any particular Spagyric Preparation of the herb can be used.
